2023 Fantasy Outlook
Despite an encouraging end to the 2022-23 season, Fontecchio remains an afterthought in most fantasy formats. His strong production down the stretch last year came as the team shifted into playing their depth pieces, seeking a high draft pick. He was outside the top 400 in standard formats, a range that is likely to be on the cards once again. Playing behind the likes of Lauri Markkanen and Kelly Olynyk, as well as the recently acquired John Collins and Taylor Hendricks, Fontecchio is obviously the odd man out when it comes to minutes.

Making most of minutes
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has liked what he's seen from Fontecchio so far this season, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
"For us, it's a different option," said Spoelstra. "We like his competitiveness. He, obviously, can really shoot the ball, but he's not limited to that. He's able to do other things like put the ball on the floor, fly off screens or just space off of your better players. We're just really thankful that we have him with us." In the opening two games of the regular season, Fontecchio played 21.2 minutes per contest with 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per contest.
