The 22-year-old played 74 regular-season games for the Suns during his 2024-25 rookie campaign, posting averages of 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.1 three-pointers across 19.1 minutes per game, shooting 43 percent from the floor and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc. He finished outside the Top 300 in standard leagues, as he was unable to generate any momentum in Phoenix's crowded wing rotation. Over the offseason, the Suns moved on from Kevin Durant by trading him to Houston for Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen will be returning, although both are frequently mentioned in the rumor mill. Bradley Beal was bought out, and that alone frees up a lot of space on the wings. Dunn looked great during the Summer League, and there have been reports that he's projected to start in 2025-26. Although Dunn's upside seemed quite limited as a rookie, a second-year leap isn't out of the question, and it seems likely that he's going to be asked to step into a larger role on the new-look Suns. Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Dunn began his high school career at powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. As a junior, he transferred to Long Island Lutheran High School, where he played for two years. After graduating, Dunn attended the Perkiomen School in Pennsylvania for a postgraduate year. There, he finished as a four-star recruit and committed to play college basketball at Virginia. Dunn had a relatively quiet freshman campaign, playing just 12.9 minutes per contest over 31 appearances. However, he enjoyed a breakout season in 2023-24, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in 27.5 minutes across 34 starts. The 6-foot-8 forward's 2.3 blocks per contest ranked 16th in the nation. Dunn was named to ACC All-Defensive Team and named to the Naismith Men's Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. Dunn's elite athleticism, prototypical size and instincts allow him to be a menace on defense. He can protect the rim from his position while also being able to smother opponents on the perimeter. Offensively, Dunn lives at the rim and can finish over shot-blockers. The 21-year-old is also an elite rebounder for his position. Dunn's skill set is similar to that of Matisse Thybulle and Andre Roberson, as he can guard the interior and perimeter at an elite level. Dunn also brings exceptional rebounding abilities for his position. He is still developing an outside shot, so his offensive game is currently capped to off-ball cutting and transition finishing. However, Dunn's impressive defensive ability, his ideal size and athleticism provide him a path to a valuable role at the next level.

FPhoenix Suns
December 2, 2025
Dunn (wrist) registered six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), eight rebounds, two steals and one assist across 21 minutes in Monday's 125-108 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS The defensive-minded forward made his return Monday after missing the Suns' previous five games with a right wrist sprain. He didn't appear to be operating with any restrictions, given that he nearly reached his season-long average in minutes (23.8 per game). Dunn could be in line for a slight uptick in playing time in Phoenix's next game Friday in Houston, if both Devin Booker (groin) and Grayson Allen (illness) aren't available.

ANALYSIS "He's obviously handling the ball a little bit more," Ott said. "The shooting piece will come when he feels good. That could take a jump at any time." Dunn missed his third straight game Wednesday, but he was spotted doing some ball-handling drills and appears to be trending in the right direction for Phoenix. Across 16 regular-season appearances, Dunn has averaged 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.2 three-pointers.
