The Pelicans dealt with a variety of injuries in 2024-25, allowing Hawkins to play a significant role. He averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks over 23.6 minutes per game in 56 regular-season appearances. The Pelicans revamped their roster, however, as they added Jeremiah Fears and Jordan Poole to the backcourt. And when you factor in the returns of Trey Murphy, Herbert Jones, Saddiq Bey and Zion Williamson from their respective injuries, then it's difficult to project Hawkins to make a sizable leap in his third season.
