Sims emerged as a high-energy backup big for the Bucks after being acquired mid-season from the Knicks, averaging 2.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 15 minutes per game during his 14 outings with Milwaukee. His shooting was efficient inside the arc, with a 68.0 percent mark during that stint. Unfortunately, a torn ligament in his right thumb ended his regular season prematurely, though he returned to contribute in the playoffs with 4.0 rebounds per game in 11.6 minutes across five contests. With the Bucks re-signing him on a cost-controlled two-year deal (including a player option) this offseason, his role as a rotation big seems secure, especially with Brook Lopez no longer around. Myles Turner will be the starting center, and Bobby Portis figures to be the first big man off the bench, but the backup center minutes are there for the taking. Sims' value lies in his rim-rolling athleticism, defensive hustle, and rebounding, but if he's limited to minutes in the teens, he'll be hard-pressed to produce consistent fantasy appeal. Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Jericho Eduard Sims was born in October of 1998 in Minneapolis. He is the son of Charles and Kimberly Sims. Charles played basketball for the University of Minnesota. Jericho has five older brothers, four of whom played college sports. Sims then committed to the University of Texas, where he majored in African & African Diaspora Studies with a minor in Anthropology. At Texas, Sims was teammates with fellow NBA-big Mo Bamba. Sims played four seasons for the Longhorns. As a senior (2020-21), Sims posted 9.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. Comes up empty again Saturday
CMilwaukee Bucks
December 6, 2025
Sims ended with two points (1-1 FG), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 124-112 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS Sims was a non-factor yet again despite starting for the second straight game. Head coach Doc Rivers seems to favor Sims as the replacement for Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee). Nonetheless, it doesn't seem as though Sims is worth the attention of fantasy managers.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2021
Outside of a few bright spots, Sims was basically a non-factor during his rookie season, closing as the 281st-ranked player in standard leagues. The addition of Isaiah Roby only complicates things even more for Sims, something that could see him fall out of the rotation altogether. The Knicks are coming off a successful 2022-23 season and will be looking to build on that momentum. Head coach Tom Thibodeau is known for running a tight rotation at the best of times, even when his team is not competing. Barring a couple of injuries to other players, Sims is not worth drafting in most fantasy formats.
The No. 58 overall pick in this year's draft will fill one of the Knicks' two two-way spots in 2021-22, allowing him to freely move between the NBA team and New York's G League affiliate in Westchester throughout the season. With all of Mitchell Robinson, Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson ahead of him on the depth chart at center, Sims likely won't have many opportunities to play meaningful minutes for the Knicks as a rookie.

Could see more action
CMilwaukee Bucks
December 4, 2025
Sims is a candidate to be more involved in the rotation with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined for at least a couple weeks with a calf strain.
ANALYSIS Sims started the second half of Wednesday's win over the Pistons and ended up with 15 points, 14 rebounds and one assist over 30 minutes. Sims has been used sparingly for the most part this season with 12.7 minutes per game across 17 appearances, but he was the reason the Bucks were able to pick up their second win out of their last three games.
