Santos was a consistent part of the Warriors' rotation during the second half of last season. From Jan. 9 through April 15, Santos averaged 4.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 15.6 minutes per game. The Brazilian's versatile skill set allows him to plug holes at numerous positions, which helps him sustain consistent playing time. However, his fantasy upside is extremely limited while sharing the court with ball-dominant players like Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green. Santos should once again serve as an end-of-rotation option for head coach Steve Kerr, but Santos' role could be increased if the Warriors trade Jonathan Kuminga at the deadline. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Santos was born June 22, 2002 in Brasilia, Brazil. His father, Deivisson, is a former pro basketball player of five years in the NBB. His mother, Lucineide, also played basketball. Santos began his pro career with Minas in the NBB during the 2018-19 season, though he saw sparing playing time until 2020-21. During that season, he started 23 of 42 appearances and averaged 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.2 minutes. In 2021-22, he averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.8 minutes. Santos also has national team contributions. During the 2019 FIBA South America U17 Championship in Chile, he helped Brazil secure a gold medal and scored 27 points against Argentina in the final. During the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup qualification, Santos made his senior national team debut. Playing four games, he averaged 8.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 20 minutes per game. He's listed as 6-foot-8, 185 pounds. He was selected with the 57th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Warriors.
New career high in assists
FGolden State Warriors
March 14, 2026
Santos totaled 17 points (6-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Friday's 127-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS Making his fifth straight start in a shorthanded Golden State frontcourt, Santos set a new career high in assists while scoring at least 15 points for a fifth straight game. The third-year forward is taking full advantage of his opportunity -- during those five contests he's averaging 17.0 points, 6.6 boards, 4.6 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.2 steals while playing a whopping 36.8 minutes. Al Horford (calf) and Quinten Post (ankle) both got banged up Friday, further depleting the Warriors' depth, so Santos' role doesn't seem likely to shrink any time soon.
