After dominating the Ivy League during a breakout sophomore campaign, Wolf transferred to Michigan for his junior year and continued to impress. With a seven-foot frame, Wolf's offensive instincts and creativity are exceptional, but the big question is whether he'll be efficient enough to be effective at the NBA level. The Nets had five first-round picks in 2025 and used their final one to select Wolf at 27 overall. Brooklyn's offense will run through Cam Thomas and Michael Porter, but the rest of the roster remains a mystery. Wolf, along with fellow rookies Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, Drake Powell and Ben Saraf, will presumably get developmental minutes eventually, but it's unlikely all five are part of the rotation on Opening Night. Nic Claxton will start at center, with returning players Day'Ron Sharpe, Drew Timme and Noah Clowney likely ahead of Wolf on the depth chart due to their familiarity with the organization. Wolf's game could be ideal for fantasy hoops, but without a guaranteed role, he's likely only a stash option on draft day. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
With a strong high school career, Danny Wolf was a McDonald's All-American Game nominee and a three-star recruit. In 2023, he earned a silver medal playing for Israel during the U20 Euro Championship A and was named to the All-Tournament Team behind 17.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks. Wolf played his first two collegiate seasons at Yale, having a breakout sophomore campaign. That year. He was named to the All-Ivy First Team and was the Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Wolf then transferred to Michigan for his junior campaign, where he averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 blocks on 50/34/59 shooting splits. He was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and Big Ten All-Tournament Team. Wolf has interesting versatility with his 7-foot frame, able to dribble and pass in the halfcourt and in transition. He also makes up in footwork and physicality what he lacks in athleticism. His jumpshot can come and go, but his touch is good enough to be a strong baseline for further development. Wolf has shown enough in most aspects of the game to play both on and off the ball. Wolf may be able to take on some secondary playmaking responsibility at the NBA level and potentially act as a sixth man in the frontcourt, especially if he becomes a strong stand-still 3-point shooter. There are shades of Alperen Sengun and Kelly Olynyk in Wolf's game, though he likely won't be as post-centric as those players.
Sees 25 minutes in win
FBrooklyn Nets
December 4, 2025
Wolf ended with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 113-103 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS It took a while for Nets coach Jordi Fernandez to look his way, but the rookie is off and running. Over his last three outings, Wolf has averaged 13.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 three-pointers in 24.7 minutes per contest. With how wide open the rotation in Brooklyn is, Wolf is absolutely on the fantasy radar.

ANALYSIS Over Wolf's last three G League outings, the big man produced 24.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 54.9 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. Slater notes that he's the only rookie for Brooklyn to not get extended run at the NBA level yet, but it's likely a matter of time before coach Jordi Fernandez is forced to look his way.
