Coward was one of 10 rookies to be named to the Rising Stars event and is joined by Grizzlies teammates and NBA sophomores Jaylen Wells and Cam Spencer. Coward was given the opportunity to start in mid-November due to the absence of Ja Morant, and the former has remained in Memphis' starting lineup ever since. As a starter this season, Coward has averaged 13.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 threes over 26.6 minutes per game.
