Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
The younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers guard Max Christie, Cam Christie is a one-and-done prospect who spent his lone year in college playing for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Big Ten. He started in 26 of his 33 appearances, averaging 11.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.6 steals. He also shot a respectable 39.1 percent from three-point range. Christie was also named to the 2023-24 Big Ten All-Freshman team. Christie looks the part of a shooting guard at the next level and has the ideal size at 6-foot-6 with excellent athleticism, above-average length and a sweet shooting stroke. On the surface, he has the makings of a player who can be a regular at the next level based on his frame and athleticism. He also possesses the versatility to play several different roles on both ends of the court. He isn't an elite athlete, but he compensates with burst and explosiveness, a trait that is more noticeable on the open court. Christie has above-average handles for a player whose offensive game relies mostly on his shot. He's also a better passer than given credit for and has top-notch instincts. His decision-making still needs work and he needs to get stronger to reach his projected ceiling on the defensive end of the court. Despite his athleticism, he isn't strong enough to take on bigger guards or small forwards. Christie stands out due to his energy and shooting ability but needs to devote more time to improving on the defensive end of the court to reach his ceiling. Don't be surprised if he starts his career in the G League. Given the similarity of traits, Christie could end up having a similar career to his brother.
Plays 17 minutes in win
GLos Angeles Clippers
December 4, 2025
Christie contributed four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes during Wednesday's 115-92 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS Christie is effectively buried on the depth chart and really only plays due to injuries, as the absences of Bogdan Bogdanovic (hip) and Jordan Miller (back) paved the way for Christie to see meaningful time on the court. When the Clippers get healthier, Christie is likely to revert to a non-factor off the bench.

Frank wants him to get stronger
GLos Angeles Clippers
May 5, 2025
Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank said during his exit interview Monday that he'd like to see Christie improve his strength this offseason, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS Frank also cited the need for Christie to develop more consistency with his shooting, labeling him as a streaky shooter. The rookie second-round pick was used sparingly in the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with averages of 1.4 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.4 steals across 4.5 minutes per contest in 13 regular-season outings. He was a prominent player in the G League, however.
