Tristen Newton News: Drops 32 points in G League win

Newton recorded 32 points (12-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists and three steals across 39 minutes in Tuesday's 126-119 G League win over the South Bay Lakers.

Newton scored at least 20 points in seven of his last nine appearances, with three of those being at least 30-point performances. Newton has embraced his role as the team's two-way wing after coming over from the Iowa Wolves, averaging 23.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.3 steals, 0.1 blocks and 2.6 threes across 34.2 minutes as a Viper.
