NBA Pick'Em Today

San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Luke Kornet over 12.5 points + rebounds + assists, Underdog, 10 AM CT

Victor Wembanyama continues to play off the bench for the Spurs, and it's uncertain whether he'll get the start for this Christmas matchup against the Thunder. Even if the star big man moves into the first unit, Kornet should have enough chances to make an impact as his primary backup at center. Kornet has looked extremely well of late, although his numbers have also benefited from a sizable uptick in playing time. He recorded 16 P+R+A against the Thunder on Dec. 23, and he's hit this line in each of his previous five games, as well as in 13 of his last 14 contests dating back to November 23. Kornet should post another solid stat line across the board and has a good shot at reaching this line regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Jabari Smith over 1.5 three-pointers, Sleeper, 10 AM CT

Smith has expanded his offensive range to become a reliable stretch four, and he's been putting up excellent numbers as a shooter in recent weeks. He's made at least four threes while attempting at least 10 in each of his last three games, going 4-for-10 in the loss to the Clippers on Dec. 23. In 10 games in December, Smith is averaging 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 37.1 minutes per game while shooting 34.3 percent from three-point range. In that stretch, Smith is making 2.4 threes on 7.0 attempts per game. It seems his three-point shooting is a steady part of the Rockets' offensive scheme, and all signs point to Smith having enough shooting attempts to hit this line. He's made two or more threes in six of his last seven appearances.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets: Bruce Brown over 10.5 points + assists, PrizePicks, 10 AM CT

Brown is logging 28 minutes per game off the bench this season, so he's seeing enough playing time to make an impact across the board, and that's exactly been the case in recent weeks. Brown has surpassed the 10.5 points + assists line in four games in a row, five of the last six and seven of the previous nine. He's coming off back-to-back games with 16 P+A, and it wouldn't be surprising if he hovers around that mark in a favorable matchup against the Timberwolves. Previous meetings between these two teams have been high-scoring affairs, and the Timberwolves aren't exactly known for their defensive prowess in the backcourt, either. As long as Brown gets enough minutes, he should find a way to stuff the stat sheet both as a scorer and playmaker. He's averaging 11.5 points + assists per game in his last 10 outings.
