Best NBA Bets Today (Thursday, Jan. 8)
Kel'el Ware over 0.5 made threes + Heat win (-126) at Chicago Bulls
FanDuel, 4:56 PM CT
Alex Barutha: Some books have Ware at 0.5 made threes, and others have him at 1.5 made threes. Even with the extra plus-money on 1.5, I'd rather take the lower number and parlay it with a Heat victory for a game that they're favored by 7.5 points. They've been playing well lately, winning five of the past seven with the third-best spread differential (+7.8) over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, Ware has taken at least three triples in 10 straight games, making 2.1 on 45.7%.
Daniel Gafford over 1.5 blocks (+100) at Utah Jazz
FanDuel, 4:52 PM CT
Alex Barutha: The Jazz have been blocked 7.2 times per 48 minutes across the past 10 games -- the highest mark in the NBA. Gafford is back in the starting lineup and is a great per-minute shot blocker. As a starter, he's averaging 1.6 blocks in 22.9 minutes per game. Over the past 30 days, Utah has allowed 3+ block performances to seven individual players, including seven to Derrick White and five to Victor Wembanyama.
