Best NBA Bets Today (Sunday, Jan. 25)
Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards over 3.5 three-pointers, -107 @ DraftKings
Edwards continues to show why he's considered one of the best scoring threats in the league with every passing game, but one area that has seen massive growth for him since the beginning of the 2024-25 season has been his three-point shooting. Edwards went 1-for-8 from three in the loss to the Bulls on Thursday, but he was coming off draining five and nine threes against the Jazz and Spurs in his previous two contests. Edwards has made at least four threes in six of his last eight contests, a stretch in which he's averaging 30.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from beyond the arc. The Warriors don't really have a backcourt defender who can slow down Edwards, and if he gets in a groove, he should have enough chances to clear this line. After all, he's making 4.1 of his whopping 9.6 three-point attempts per game since the beginning of January.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs: Victor Wembanyama over 37.5 points + rebounds, -118 @ FanDuel
Wembanyama returned to the starting lineup seven games ago and has been putting up excellent numbers, averaging 25.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game over that stretch. The star big man is coming off one of his most complete performances of the year last time out. He ended Thursday's 126-109 victory over Utah with 26 points (9-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, five blocks and one steal in 33 minutes. He has recorded at least 40 points + rebounds in three of his last four games, and he could be in line to do so again in a favorable matchup at home against a struggling Pelicans team that allows the fifth-most rebounds to opposing teams so far this season.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Clippers to cover -8.5 spread, -109 @ BetRivers
The Nets have been slumping lately and are on a four-game losing skid in which they've shown extreme highs and lows. This is the same team that pushed the Celtics to a double overtime on Friday roughly 48 hours after losing by 54 points to the Knicks. The Nets have proven they can be competitive, but they'll be playing on the road, where they own a 6-14 record while losing six in a row, against a Clippers team on the rise. Tyronn Lue's men have won four of their last five and eight of their last 10 while also riding a four-game winning streak at home. With the Clippers winning by at least eight points in three of those wins, they should have enough in them to cruise to an easy win over the Nets -- one that should allow them to cover this spread.
