Best NBA Bets Today (Saturday, Jan. 10)
Dallas Mavericks vs. Chicago Bulls: Matas Buzelis under 24.5 points + rebounds, -130 @ Hard Rock
Buzelis is coming off a 20-point, three-rebound performance in the loss to the Pistons on Wednesday. The forward has emerged as a reliable scoring weapon for a shorthanded Bulls team, but from a betting perspective, he hasn't been the best alternative. He's finished with under 24.5 points + rebounds in six of his last nine appearances. It wouldn't be surprising if that string of performances continues again.
The Bulls have Nikola Vucevic manning the center position, and Buzelis has never been a big rebounder for his size. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 5.2 boards per game and only grabbed 3.5 per contest as a rookie in 2024-25. With season-long averages of 14.9 points and 5.2 boards per game in 2025-26, and 17.7 points with 5.0 rebounds per contest over his last 10 games, it would have to take an above-average effort from Buzelis to overcome this proposed line.
Charlotte Hornets vs. Utah Jazz: LaMelo Ball over 25.5 points + assists, -142 @ DraftKings
Ball came off the bench against the Pacers on the second leg of a back-to-back set but thrived, finishing with 33 points and eight assists across 27 minutes. The star floor general continues to make a huge impact as a scorer and playmaker for Charlotte, and he's tallied at least 26 points in six of his last 10 games, and at least 20 P+A eight times over that stretch. There's enough body of work to believe he might be trending in the right direction toward hitting this line.
Ball, who should return to the starting lineup Saturday, should thrive in what figures to be a favorable matchup for him, especially since the Jazz aren't really known for their defensive ability or for the pressure they put on opposing point guards. He's averaging 20.8 points and 7.1 assists per game in his 12 appearances since returning from an ankle injury in mid-December.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Boston Celtics: Dylan Harper over 12.5 points + assists, -102 @ FanDuel
Harper has hit a rookie wall of late, and it's safe to say his recent numbers have been disappointing -- he's failed to score more than six points in four of his last five appearances off the bench while averaging 21.2 minutes per game in that span. However, he also has a 22-point effort against the Pacers in that span, and he's notched three double-digit scoring efforts in his last eight.
Harper might be trending in the wrong direction, but he's not completely overmatched, and he's far more talented than his recent numbers suggest. His athleticism and ability to finish near the rim could be useful against a Celtics team that isn't known for its rim protection. Even though his recent numbers haven't been the best, look for Harper to hit the over in this line of over 12.5 points + assists. He's averaging 9.9 points and 3.9 assists per game since the beginning of December.
