2026 Projections
Sent out of big-league camp
The Twins optioned Raya to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Analysis
Raya was one of nine players sent out of big-league camp in the Twins' latest round of roster cuts. The 23-year-old right-hander is entering his second season as a member of Minnesota's 40-man roster but is still waiting to make his MLB debut. After logging a 6.02 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 98.2 innings in his 30 appearances (20 starts) for St. Paul in 2025, Raya is expected to serve as a full-time reliever for the Triple-A club during the 2026 season.

With the trade deadline in the rearview mirror, Eugenio Suarez stands out as the player most likely to make a big impact in the American League in his return to the Seattle Mariners.
Stay up to date on every deal of the 2025 MLB Trade Deadline and the potential fantasy impact for every team involved.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
A 2020 fourth-round pick, Raya didn't pitch in 2021 due to a shoulder strain, but had an impressive pro debut last year. He's missed some time in 2022 as well, as one might surmise from his relatively thin innings total, but Raya has looked good when he's been on the mound. His fastball sits in the mid-to-high 90s and he has a quality curveball, slider and change as well, so the stuff is there for the 20-year-old to grow into a big-league starter. Durability will be the big question for Raya, but he's shown enough upside to make himself into a target for dynasty managers.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to join 40-man roster
Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic believes Raya will be added to the Twins' 40-man roster this offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.
Analysis
The right-hander spent most of 2024 with Double-A Wichita and had a 4.06 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 92:42 K:BB across 88.2 innings, though he finished the campaign with a scoreless five-inning start for Triple-A St. Paul. Raya is expected to begin 2025 in St. Paul's rotation and still has plenty of upside given he just turned 22 years old in August.
