2026 Fantasy Outlook
Traded from Baltimore to Miami in 2024, Stowers wasn't informed that he made the Marlins' 2025 Opening Day roster until the final days of spring training. He would go on to be the team's sole representative in the All-Star Game, slashing .288/.368/.544 with 25 homers and five steals across 457 total plate appearances before a left oblique strain put him on the injured list in August. Stowers began a rehab assignment in early September but had to pause it after just one game due to discomfort in his opposite side, a setback which ended his season. There is some lingering uncertainty given the injuries, and he had struggled with strikeouts prior to 2025, but Stowers tattooed the ball when healthy last season and projects as an everyday presence in the middle of the order for an improving Marlins offense. Taking live at-bats
Stowers (hamstring) will face live pitching Friday, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.
Analysis
Stowers was scratched from a Feb. 28 spring training game due to hamstring tightness and was given a 1-to-2 week timeline to return to game action. He looks to be on track, checking off a box by taking live at-bats. It's unclear if he has started his running progression yet.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
Stowers was one of Baltimore's top prospects but appeared in just 19 games in 2024 before being dealt to the Marlins at the trade deadline. He quickly joined the big-league club in Miami but finished the season with a .208/.268/.333 slash line and 35.4 percent strikeout rate. He had 18 home runs in 58 Triple-A contests but couldn't find his power in the majors with just three long balls. The swing-and-miss tendencies have been an issue throughout his time in the minors, and his .242 average the past two seasons at Triple-A is also concerning. Stowers should receive plenty of chances to work things out in the majors with the Marlins in 2025, but he's hardly a sure thing to produce despite his prospect pedigree.
