Max Anderson

23-Year-Old Second Baseman2B
Detroit Tigers AAA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
It's not clear where Anderson fits into the Tigers' short-term or long-term plans, but he's proven in the minors and the Arizona Fall League that he can flat out hit. The righty hitter slashed .296/.350/.478 with 19 home runs, a 15.8 percent strikeout rate and .323 BABIP in 122 games across Double-A and Triple-A and then hit .447 with four home runs and a 9:18 K:BB in 14 AFL games. Unfortunately, Anderson is a poor defender everywhere, including second base, where he has seen the most time. Given that Anderson is a safe bet to mash lefties, he may break in on the short side of a platoon with Colt Keith or Kerry Carpenter, and Detroit may be satisfied with him in that role. A 6-foot, 215-pound plodder, Anderson won't contribute with his legs and his aggressive approach makes him more valuable in average leagues than OBP leagues. Read Past Outlooks
