Jadher Areinamo

22-Year-Old Second Baseman2B
Tampa Bay Rays AA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Acquired at last year's trade deadline from Milwaukee for a couple months of Danny Jansen, Areinamo needed to be added to the 40-man roster this winter tor protect him from the Rule 5 draft. He had a strong 2025, batting .285/.344/.445 with 15 homers, 21 steals and an 11.7 percent strikeout rate in 131 games across High-A and Double-A, but it was Areinamo's showing in the Venezuelan Winter League that really turned heads. The 22-year-old second baseman slashed .364/.420/.692 with 13 home runs and a 20:14 K:BB in 162 plate appearances while being roughly eight years younger than the average player he was facing. Areinamo's aggressive approach didn't align with the Brewers' ideals, but the Rays are more apt to work with different player archetypes, and his plus defense at the keystone and strong bat-to-ball skills could eventually buy him a look as a regular. While he is on the 40-man roster, Areinamo has only played 37 games at Double-A, so he could spend the whole year working in the upper minors. Read Past Outlooks
