Rave made his major-league debut with the Royals in late May after spending each of the two prior seasons with Triple-A Omaha. He saw his playing time fluctuate in the majors while providing depth in the outfield before he was optioned back to Triple-A in late August, though he finished the season out with the parent club after being recalled in mid-September. Rave posted a .196/.283/.307 slash line with seven steals, four home runs, 14 RBI and 18 runs across 175 plate appearances for the Royals in 2025. He showed some promise at the plate last season with above-average walk rate, chase rate and bat speed while ranking in the 88th percentile in sprint speed. Rave is competing for a spot on the Royals' Opening Day roster but would be limited to a depth role if he makes the cut, especially after Kansas City signed veteran Starling Marte in late February.
