Blanco made the Royals' Opening Day roster in 2025 but started the season on the IL due to an Achilles injury. He was activated in mid-May but appeared in just nine games for Kansas City before being optioned to Triple-A Omaha in early July, where he spent the rest of the season and slashed .253/.332/.405 with 32 steals, eight home runs and 26 RBI in 294 plate appearances. Blanco's speed is his greatest asset offensively, and his decent numbers at the plate gives him an outside chance of making the Opening Day roster for 2026, though it's more than likely that he starts the season in the minors. Should he get called up in 2026, Blanco's base running and solid numbers at the plate would give him some sneaky fantasy value, especially if there was a path to more consistent playing time in the majors.
