Cronenworth hasn't come close to replicating the .810 OPS he posted across his first two MLB campaigns in 2020 and 2021, though his .744 mark last year was the closest he's come. He took an interesting route to get there, with a career-best .367 on-base percentage -- fueled by a 14.1 percent walk rate - and a career-worst .377 slugging percentage, which resulted from a .131 ISO. Cronenworth clubbed just 11 homers in 135 games and finished with 59 RBI, the second time in the past three seasons he's failed to drive in 60 runs. Assuming he stays in San Diego, Cronenworth can still provide some run production given the overall strength of the lineup, but he can't do so consistently year-to-year. Defensive versatility has been a plus for fantasy managers, but Cronenworth may not begin 2026 with much value in that category since he made 118 appearances at second base last season, compared to 13 apiece at shortstop and first base.
