Taveras will compete for a reserve outfielder role with the Orioles after spending 2025 with the Rangers and Mariners. He's still just 27 years old and once had a fair amount of prospect pedigree, but he's never posted a wRC+ higher than 101 and wound up DFA'd by both the Rangers and Mariners by early June last season, hitting a combined .205/.226/.304 before spending the rest of the year in the minors. He's likely to work as a depth piece at Triple-A Norfolk or come off the bench for the big club. Read Past Outlooks
