Wenninger boasts one of the best splitters in the land and capped his breakout campaign with 20 strikeouts in 11 innings over two Eastern League playoff starts. The 6-foot-4 righty logged a 2.92 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 147:42 K:BB and 46.5 percent groundball rate in 135.2 innings at Double-A, building on his 2024 workload by 20.2 frames. In addition to starter-caliber control (7.6 BB% at Double-A), Wenninger has a deep pitch mix, with a pair of mid-90s fastballs and an above-average slider to go with his deadly splitter. He doesn't need much more seasoning in the minors and will wait his turn at Triple-A. Wenninger could be a No. 3 starter with the floor of a No. 4. Read Past Outlooks
