Butto finished the 2024 season strong in a relief role and opened up in the same capacity this past season. He was eventually shipped to the Giants in the Tyler Rogers trade, finishing the year with a disappointing 58:32 K:BB over 67 frames along with a 3.90 ERA. Butto has always struggled to throw strikes, and a move to the bullpen has not alleviated those issues. A strikeout rate in the 33rd percentile was concerning, but a whiff rate in the 76th percentile suggests that Butto should bounce back in that area in 2026 to some degree. He also boosted his groundball rate in 2025 to a career-high 48.2 percent. The Giants' bullpen looks like a weak link on paper, so it's possible Butto could work his way into more high-leverage situations. That said, Butto is among those contributing to the uncertainty with the team's relief corps. Read Past Outlooks
