Holton, who made a career-high 70 appearances (including six starts as an opener) for Detroit during the 2025 regular season, continues to fill a Swiss Army knife role for the Tigers. While that did not result in any saves last season, the 29-year-old still racked up six wins and established a new career-high with 18 holds. On the flip-side, the southpaw permitted 15 home runs, tied for second-worst among relief pitchers with Jeff Hoffman. Unfortunately, his 20.8 home-run per fly ball percentage ranked dead last. What we've seen from Holton over the past few seasons is what we should expect in 2026 - he's not going to strike out a ton of batters, but shouldn't kill your ratios and pitches enough in high-leverage to be a decent source of holds.
