Minnesota Twins
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Wagaman played nearly every day last season but occasionally sat against right-handed pitching when he fell into a slump. He was notably more productive against left-handers, posting a .783 OPS, compared to a .612 mark versus righties. His strikeout and hard-hit rates were better than average, though his barrel rate lagged well behind the league norm. That profile supports a reasonable batting-average floor but offers limited category upside. Wagaman appeared in 140 games, a total driven in part by injuries elsewhere on the roster and a lack of alternatives at first base for the Marlins. He was traded to Minnesota in the offseason, where he'll compete for a starting role at first base or DH, but could also win a bench role in a platoon role between the corner infield and corner outfield spots.
