Johnston has been toiling in the Marlins organization since 2019. He spent last season with Triple-A Jacksonville, posting a 99 wRC+. His main asset is an above average contact rate, but he doesn't hit the ball hard. Johnston will turn 28 years old in June, and at 5-11, 205 pounds, more power is possible but not likely. He's exhibited the power/speed combination envied by fantasy managers, but it's unclear how his quantity and quality of contact will translate to the highest level, especially as a first baseman.
