2026 Fantasy Outlook
Myers entered the season with momentum after a strong rookie year, but an oblique strain in mid-March delayed his debut and altered his role. Activated in late April, he joined the Brewers' rotation but failed to regain his earlier effectiveness, spending much of the year shuttling between Milwaukee and Triple-A Nashville and working mostly in relief at the big-league level. Underlying indicators from his rookie season already pointed toward regression, as his 3.01 ERA outpaced what his skill set supported. That correction began to show, driven largely by a notable decline in strikeout rate. A favorable left on base rate helped prevent a larger spike in run prevention, keeping his ERA increase relatively modest, though it still finished well below his estimators, which climbed compared to the previous year. Heading into spring training, Myers didn't have a clear path to a rotation spot for the Brewers, and his immediate outlook doesn't change much after being traded to the Mets. His clearest path to a roster spot is as a reliever, though he should still make some starts for New York at some point in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
