After eight seasons with Atlanta, Minter's first season with the Mets was marred by a torn left lat muscle that required season-ending surgery on May 12. This marked the second straight season that the 31-year-old has missed significant time due to injury. The southpaw, who was limited to just 13 appearances (11.0 innings) in 2025, is questionable for Opening Day 2026, but Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns indicated if he's not ready by then, his absence is expected to be brief.
