Who Are The Most Loyal Fans in Baseball?

When it comes to hometown fandom, no one does it better than the City of Brotherly Love, with the two-time defending NL East champs taking home the top score across the myriads of metrics used for this story.

Overall, the Phillies finished with a score of 5.50 points, finishing ahead of other MLB stalwarts like the Los Angeles Dodgers (7.25 score) and the New York Mets (8.00 score), while the San Diego Padres (8.75 score) and New York Yankees (9.75 score) rounded out the top five leaguewide.

Unsurprisingly, each of the top five teams on our scoreboard finished somewhere between No. 1 and 5 in the 30-team MLB, attendance wise, in 2025, with the Dodgers (4,012,470) drawing the most fans per game overall, while the Padres were second overall, with 3,437,201 fans making it through the turnstiles at Petco Park this year.

Throw in the Yankees (3,392,659), Phillies (3,375,457) and Mets (3,184,570) and you have the MLB's top attendance teams covered, while the Chicago Cubs were the only other franchise that drew more than 3 million fans, finishing at 3,017,983 attendees this year.

Who Finished At The Bottom?

While the teams like the Phillies and two-time defending World Series champion Dodgers are in the sport's penthouse, fandom-wise, the opposite can be said of MLB clubs like the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies and the Tampa Bay Rays.

That's because those three perennial cellar dwellers finished with the lowest fan loyalty scores overall, with the White Sox placing 30th overall, at 24.50, while Colorado (25.50) and Tampa Bay (22.50) were next in line.

Throw in the Washington Nationals and Athletics at 21.75 apiece and the two-way tie between the Miami Marlins and Minnesota Twins at 21.25 and you have the bottom end of the MLB's loyalty rankings covered this season, speaking to the importance of fielding a winning team on a yearly basis if you're going to capture the hearts and minds of your fanbase.
