Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cleveland Guardians Betting Picks

  • Junior Caminero over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-135 at DraftKings) for 1 Unit

Caminero went 1-for-4 with a run scored against the Guardians on Thursday. Over the first four games of the Rays' homestand, he is 9-for-17 with one home run, three doubles, eight RBI and four runs. He is putting an exclamation mark on an excellent season that has already seen him rack up 40 home runs, 102 RBI and 84 runs scored.

The Rays being at home for this series is important because Caminero has a .992 there this season, compared to a .690 OPS on the road. The Guardians will start Gavin Williams, who has a 4.36 xERA that indicates he has not pitched as well as his 3.26 ERA would lead people to believe. Williams has recorded a 3.50 xFIP and a 1.20 WHIP at home this year, but he has a 4.97 xFIP and a 1.38 WHIP on the road. In what could be a high-scoring game for the Rays, look for Caminero to be right in the thick of the action.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Boston Red Sox Betting Picks

Rodriguez held the Dodgers scoreless over six innings in his last outing. While he allowed just four hits, he did issue four walks. Control remains a problem for him, leaving E-Rod with an 8.9% BB%. In terms of this prop, Rodriguez has issued at least two free passes in 15 of his 24 starts this season.

The Red Sox have the fifth-highest OPS in baseball against left-handed pitchers, so this is a tricky matchup for Rodriguez. They have shown a selective eye at the plate, in general, drawing the 13th-most walks in baseball. Rodriguez has the potential to sail past two walks in this matchup.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants Betting Picks

  • Ivan Herrera over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-135) at DraftKings Sportsbook for 1 Unit

Herrera comes into Friday hitting 9-for-27 (.333) with a .472 OBP, three home runs, six RBI and six runs scored over his last nine games. He makes a lot of quality contact, recording a 10.2% barrel rate and a 46.7% hard-hit rate this season. That has helped propel him to a .355 wOBA. He has also shown a good eye at the plate, recording a 9.5% BB% and a 19.3% K%.

Carson Seymour will start for the Giants. He made his first career MLB start last weekend against the Orioles and it didn't go well as he allowed four runs across three innings. Over 24.2 total innings in the majors this season, Seymour has a bloated 1.50 WHIP. His problem keeping hitters off base is nothing new. He had a 1.34 WHIP at Triple-A this year and a 1.57 WHIP at the same level last season. Retiring Herrera could prove to be troublesome for Seymour.
