Across those two starts, he punched out a total of 18 hitters. The Dodgers have a significant starting pitching advantage, leaving them in a good spot to win Game 1.

Trey Yesavage will start Game 2 for the Blue Jays. The rookie has made a big leap to the majors after beginning 2025 at Single-A. He showed control issues, posting a 10.5% walk rate across all of his stops in the minors. Further, he issued at least two walks in all three of his regular season starts with the Blue Jays, despite not pitching more than five innings in any of them. He even had one outing against the Royals in which he walked three batters over four innings. In a pressure-packed Game 2, it wouldn't be a surprise if Yesavage has control issues and contributes to the Mariners hitting this over.
