Who Were The Most Undervalued Hitters This Season?
While the 
Chicago Cubs season came to a disappointing end, the same cannot be said of third year outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, whose third MLB campaign was his bet yet (by far), with the 23-year-old racking up 6.0 WAR in 157 games played, all while earning the league minimum of $820,000. That whopper of a WAR figure plus Crow-Armstrong's team-friendly salary meant the third year pro finished the 2025 season with the lowest dollar per WAR number in the league, at $128,500, finishing ahead of Maikel Garcia of the Kansas City Royals ($133,578 per WAR) and Wyatt Langford of the Texas Rangers ($138,125 per WAR).
The other names that rounded out the most undervalued MLB hitters list this year were guys like Nick Kurtz of the Athletics ($140,741 per WAR) and Milwaukee Brewers' second baseman Brice Turang ($141,291).
Of those five, Crow-Armstrong had the highest WAR total this year, per ESPN.com, at 6.0, followed by Garcia at 5.8, Langford at 5.6, Turang at 5.5 and Kurtz at 5.4, while Langford and Kurtz were the others of the quintet still earning the league minimum of $820,000 this season, compared with the $2.7 million Turang made and $4.850 million that Garcia raked in in Kansas City.
Who Else Made The List?
The rest of the MLB undervalued top 10 included names like Gunnar Henderson of the 
Baltimore Orioles ($144,870 per WAR), Los Angeles Angels' infielder Zack Neto ($152,941 per WAR), Junior Caminero of the Tampa Bay Rays ($169,800 per WAR), Michael Busch of the Cubs ($173,864 per WAR) and Tyler Soderstrom of the Athletics ($173,864 per WAR).
Of those five, Henderson finished with the highest WAR total, per ESPN.com, with the former first round pick out of Arkansas earning 5.4 WAR in 154 games played, while Neto was the only other member of the group to exceed 5 WAR this year, finishing at 5.1 for the Angels.
