Brown becomes the first person to stop the 40-year-old Dalby in his long professional career. It didn't come easy. Randy dominated the entirety of Round 1, breaking Dalby's nose with a crushing blow. Yet, the latter kept coming. The fight turned into a wild brawl midway through Round 2 before Randy ended it for good with a massive right hand. Time is against Brown given he'll be 35 years old in July, but he's 4-1 in his last five fights, and the lone defeat came against a quality opponent in Bryan Battle, who missed weight for the fight. He now draws Dalby, who's been on the sidelines a bit due to an undisclosed injury. Brown has four-inch advantages in both height and reach, plus a slight statistical edge in both striking offense and defense. He also has a superior takedown defense in case Dalby looks to take this one to the mat, though that isn't necessarily his trademark skill.

Brown took a chunk of his purse and was more than willing to let the fight proceed. Randy was the more impactful striker and did fine when the two men were at distance, but he spent more and more time being controlled along the fence as the fight progressed. Ultimately, two of the three judges simply felt he didn't generate enough offense over the course of the final 10 minutes. "Rude Boy" entered having won three in a row and seven of eight, so his roster spot is plenty secure despite the setback.
