Struggles in rivalry loss
Sims completed 11 of 25 passes for 114 yards and three interceptions during Friday's 23-7 loss to Arizona. He also had 10 rushes for 43 yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Sims had a rough performance in Friday's rivalry game as he turned the ball over four times versus the Wildcats, the same amount he had over his previous three starts this season. He completed under 50 percent of his passes in his second straight game and he only threw for 114 yards. He scored his team's only touchdown with a 27-yard scamper in the second quarter, but it was not near enough to get close to a win. He will likely start the Sun Devils' bowl game in what will be his final collegiate game.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Jeff Sims, a former four-star recruit, started all of the Jackets’ 10 games as a freshman and is poised to take a step forward in 2021. There were flashes of brilliance last season, and flashes of learning opportunities, as Sims completed 54.9 percent of his throws while tossing an equal 13 touchdowns and interceptions. The real appeal from Sims came from his dual threat ability, rushing 120 times for 492 yards and six scores, though it’s fair to question whether the Jackets want Sims to run more or less this season. They hit the transfer portal hard for offensive linemen, and have a very capable stable of running backs led by Jahmyr Gibbs and Jordan Mason, which could keep Sims in the pocket more, running only as necessary. Sims topped 250 yards only once last season, and while growth as a passer is expected, the Jackets are only in Year 2 of a non-option offense. There’s limited firepower out wide, and Sims may be a year away from a full breakout as a result.
