This is a brutal spot for Marcus Mariota. The Denver Broncos lead the league with 49 sacks, and they generate pressure at a top-four rate as well. Denver has held the opposing QB below 200 passing yards in three of its last four games, with the lone exception being Patrick Mahomes. Marcus Mariota is not Patrick Mahomes. Courtland Sutton has been in a bit of a funk lately. But coming out of their bye, I'm guessing the Broncos will emphasize getting him the rock. That should turn into big-time production against the Commanders. Washington gives up the second-most receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers (170.3). Even if Sutton hasn't looked quite like himself recently, he has still recorded at least 59 receiving yards in three of his last five outings. This looks like a blow-up spot for Sutton.

That should lead to a lot of downfield opportunities for Franklin, who leads Denver with an average depth of target of 14.1 yards. Franklin and Sutton have both seen 27 targets over their last four games, and I'm betting Franklin will break at least one big play against the leaky Commanders' secondary in Week 13.
